OUR PAST
Around the time of the invention of the television, Burrell Rental was born as Taylor Rental on Leechburg Road in Lower Burrell. Taylor Rental was located inside the old Sokol's Hardware Store and started out by renting small tools and equipment. In 1981 the Shank family became involved and the name was changed to Burrell Rental and history was made. Burrell Rental has evolved through many phases of the rental and repair industry. Having once sold or rented virtually everything one could ever need for construction, parties and events, Burrell Rental has experience in the repair, renting and sales of everything from articulating lifts to zero-tail radius excavators. That is just one of the reasons we should be your first call. Chances are if we don't do it, we still know who does, and who does it right! Gary Shank and his wife Suzanne, founders and pioneers of Burrell Rental Inc., believed that tools were a way to help people solve problems and took pride in sharing their knowledge and passion. In just a short while, their reputation, tool rental concepts and attention to customer service became popular and word about their rental business and keen knowledge of tools and construction equipment quickly spread among local contractors both large and small.

In 2007, the Shank’s passed down the day to day duties of their legacy along with their same commitment and passion for tools, equipment and for solving customers' problems. As we look ahead toward the next 50 years we look forward to continuing to serve our many long-time, loyal customers and assisting new customers in their tool and equipment needs.
